The signatory is responsible for making sure that all members of their party, and their guests, are aware of, and strictly adhere to the guidelines. The Hot tub can be a pleasurable and relaxing experience. However, for your safety and enjoyment, there are strict rules and guidelines that must be adhered to when using the Hot tub. This is an important health and safety legal requirement for Hot tubs used in a commercial environment. Please note that a member of staff may visit up to 3 times a day. It is vital that the hot tub is kept clean for your own safety. Please report any illnesses following Hot tub usage to the office immediately. This is extremely important if pneumonia-like symptoms are experienced. Persons using medication should consult their doctor before using the tub. Some medications may cause drowsiness, using the tub with these medications can induce drowsiness, affects your heart rate, blood pressure or circulation. People with any infectious diseases should not use the hot tub. Guests should be aware that failure to maintain a clean hot tub could result in a charge of £60 to pay for the drain down and cleaning of the hot tub. Approximately 6 hours plus will then be required to return the tub to a comfortable temperature. On your day of departure, the hot tub will be emptied at 8.30 a.m.
HOT TUB GUIDELINES:
· Take a shower and use the toilet prior to entering the tub. Lotions, perfumes, fake tans etc can contaminate the water.
· Take a shower after using the hot tub in order to remove chlorine as it may cause itchiness.
· Ensure long hair is put up in a ponytail as to avoid getting it caught in the filter or drain. Remove jewellery and a keep loose clothing away from jets.
· Do not submerge your head under the water, do not drink the water, or allow the water to enter your mouth.
· Do not jump into the hot tub.
· Prolonged use of the hot tub can result in hyperthermia – a dangerous condition that occurs when the internal body temperature exceeds 37 degrees centigrade. Symptoms include, unawareness of impending hazard, failure to perceive heat, failure to recognise the need to exit the tub.20-30 mins is suggested as a safe time.
· Risk to children – Extreme caution must be exercised to prevent unauthorised access by under age children. The hot tub cover must remain closed at all times. a responsible adult must be present at all times. No children under 5 years old are permitted in the tub, as they cannot regulate their body temperatures suitably.
· All children under 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Instruct your children to shower and visit the toilet prior to use of the tub and inform them to keep their heads out of the water (especially mouth and ears).
· Pregnant woman are advised not to use Hot Tub or to seek medical advice before doing so.
· Avoid drinking alcohol or using drugs in the hot tub. your body cannot regulate its temperature, as the hot water will amplify
· Effects of any alcohol or drugs. Alcohol makes you drowsy, and falling asleep in hot water can be very dangerous. In addition to the risk of drowning.
· Do not eat in the hot tub as food debris can contaminate the water.
· Do not use any glass wear or crockery in the tub. If glassware is broken this will result in the hot tub being drained, cleaned and re filled, for which there will be a charge.
· Do not use detergent or soaps of any kind in the tub.
· Never use electrical devices (including phones, radio, TVs or any other corded devices) in or near the hot tub.
· When using the hot tub in the evening, please keep noise levels to a minimum to avoid disturbing the neighbours.
· Please keep the hot tub covered on when not in use.
· Do not stand on the tub cover.
· The hot tub is treated with chemicals, therefore if you are allergic to any chlorine, the hot tub should not be used.
SAUNA AND STEAM ROOM RULE & GUIDELINES
Rules:
· Glass bottles, razors or other sharp items are not permitted in steam rooms/sauna.
· Please refrain from interfering with the thermostat.
Guidelines:
· Remove any metals as they can become very hot in the steam room/sauna.
· During the steam room/sauna session drink plenty of fluids to replace those lost due to perspiration.
· It is advisable to remove contact lenses as they can become uncomfortable.
· Have a shower before use to cleanse the skin.
· Enter the steam room/sauna and sit down.
· Relax for 5-10 minutes this will raise the body temperature and the perspiration will cleanse the pores of the skin.
· Leave the steam room/sauna and cool down immediately by taking a cold shower or gradually by sitting on the bench or poolside.
· Return to the steam room/sauna for a further 5-10 minutes.
· The hot/cold cycle can be repeated as often as comfort allows.
· When ready to leave, patrons should cool down and relax after steam room/sauna session.
You should not use the steam room/sauna if you:
· Are pregnant.
· Are suffering from heart disease, circulatory problems, high/low blood pressure, diabetes, kidney disease or an illness causing an inability to perspire.
· Have any infectious skin diseases/sores/wounds.
· Have consumed a meal or alcohol within one and half hours.
· Have recently exercised. Time should be allowed to enable the body temperature to return to normal.
