2nd December
– Carlisle Christmas Markets
Carlisle city center is set to be transformed into a festive winter wonderland this December with the launch of a new Christmas Market.
The market will feature over 40 Alpine-style chalets and festive-themed trading units selling a wide range of gifts, crafts, food, and drink.
The brightly lit stalls will create a winter wonderland and feature both local and visiting traders. Shoppers will find everything from handmade Christmas decorations to unique presents and fresh macaroons! In the food stalls, there’ll be delightful seasonal treats ranging from traditional giant bratwurst to exotic ostrich and wild boar burgers along with tasty, hot Gluhwein.
– Whitehaven Christmas Markets With Fireworks Display
The markets are set to take place on December 2 with the firework display taking place in the evening of that day on the harbourside.
4th December
– Keswick Victorian Fayre
Keswick Victorian Fayre takes place on the first Sunday in December. It has live entertainment by local artists, bands, choirs, and dancers in the Market Square and in Packhorse Court throughout the day as well as a children’
s funfair. There are over 30 charity stalls selling homemade crafts, produce, festive food, and drink, together with games and tombolas. The Fayre gives local charities the opportunity to raise their profile as well as raise much-needed funds.
10th December
– Christmas Pudding 10k
The Langdale Christmas Pudding run has become a popular event to start the festive season. With over 1
000 entered at its peak, the race appeals to all who enjoy the fun side of running. Every finisher gets a Christmas Pudding and many runners dress in festive costumes – all adding to the party atmosphere.
17th – 31st December– Aladdin Pantomime
Don’t miss our enchanting family favorite as this year all your wishes are granted, featuring an amazing live band, mesmerizing special effects, lavish costumes and sets, and an all-star cast.
Laugh at dotty Widow Twankey, boo and hiss the evil Abanazar and cheer on our hero Aladdin who, with one rub of his magic lamp, meets the most amazing Genie. From the same team behind 2021’s record-breaking Christmas production of Cinderella, Aladdin will be a spectacular festive treat not to be missed.
